On normal skin there are no black and white dots, visible pores. It constantly renews itself: the outer layer peels off, and a new one appears in its place. Therefore, all substances in it are in a proportionate, well-balanced ratio, This determines the main difference of this type of skin from others: less vulnerability to external influences. Women with normal skin do not feel dry with low humidity or low air temperature and fatness - during hot and humid weather. Even after washing with soap, the face does not experience an unpleasant feeling of tightness. This obvious advantage of happy owners of normal skin often does them a disservice. Women neglect skin care products or use them irregularly.
Before choosing the means, you need to know not only your skin type, but also in what condition it is (insufficient moisturizing, hypersensitivity, hyperpigmentation), and this is the competence of the cosmetologist. But, if there are no significant problems, for example, hypersensitivity or pigmentation, you can take care of normal skin at home. The goal of nursing in this case is to maintain a good skin type for a long time. The main stages of caring for normal skin, as well as for other types, are:
- thorough but gentle cleansing;
- protection from adverse weather events during the day;
- prevention of aging processes.
In normal skin, the use of cosmetics should be minimal. It is best to wash yourself in the morning and in the evening with milk or a hydrophilic cleaner (special oil emulsion for make-up). Using soap, you can also wash yourself, but not more often 2-3 times a week. More frequent use of soap leads to a decrease in the acidity of the skin, its overdrying and peeling. The face is rinsed with soft (boiled for at least ten minutes) water at room temperature, in the evening you can use warmer, but not hot water. At the end of washing, the face is rinsed with cold water. Constantly cold water is best not to wash: the skin of the face becomes dry, pale and flabby, wrinkles appear; cold causes vasoconstriction, and as a result, the nutrition of the skin is disturbed. The use of hot water is also harmful: the tone of the skin weakens, it becomes flaccid, a persistent vasodilation occurs. Alternating washing with warm and cold water is optimal for the skin, temperature massage enhances its circulation and maintains its elasticity.
To refresh your face during the day, you use non-alcoholic tonics, you can wipe your face with infusion of herbs. The infusion is prepared in a thermos for 30 minutes at a rate of 2 tbsp. spoons of crushed flowers for 1.5 cups of boiling water. The best is a fake color, chemist's daisy, mint. The infusion is cooled, filtered and stored in a refrigerator, it can be frozen and rubbed face with ice cubes. After this procedure, it takes 20-30 minutes to go outside. Use also a decoction of bran: 1 tbsp. spoon for 250 ml of water. Bran should be boiled for 30 minutes, filtered and used for washing.
The main efforts in caring for normal skin should be directed at that. to maintain its water balance. Incorrect care leads to the fact that substances related to natural moisturizing factors (lactic acid, urea) are lost. With sudden changes in temperature, ultraviolet radiation, the load on the skin increases sharply, it dehydrates, and this leads to a deterioration in appearance. Overdrying the skin, especially during sports activities or staying on the beach, leads to the appearance of premature wrinkles.
Cosmetic methods of moisture retention are reduced to two principles: the creation of a film on the surface of the skin and the use of hygroscopic, i.e. retaining moisture, compositions. The water-retaining components include glycerol, lactic acid, silk proteins, etc. A non-surpassed leader among them is hyaluronic acid. All these substances should be included in the composition of moisturizers. For normal skin, the best means are in the form of gels or low-fat creams.
In the hot season, the moisturizer is applied before going out into the street, in the cold - at night.
To increase the hydration of the skin, you need to drink at least 1 liter of mineral water a day. By the way, non-carbonated mineral water can be washed: it has anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, healing effect on the skin. It is also useful to use thermal water.
Normal skin itself emits a sufficient amount of sebum, so it does not need fatty creams. Nevertheless, in the care of normal facial skin, it is necessary to include light liquid nourishing creams containing aloe, extracts from algae and plants, fruit juices, and after 25 years - collagen. Special procedures include vitamin masks, steam compresses with herbal extracts, vitamins A and E, and massage. This will slow down the changes in the skin that grows old with the body. In the hot season, the nourishing cream is applied in the evening, and in the winter season - before going out to the street. It should be applied no later than 30 minutes before the release, during this time the moisture will be absorbed and the necessary protective film will form on the surface of the skin.
If after a long winter the skin began to peel, a scrub will help: mix the coffee sediment from the coffee machine with warm vegetable (preferably olive) oil to the consistency of thick sour cream. Composition put on face and neck, massage for 5-10 minutes, leave for another 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water. The skin will become smooth, tender.
Masks are done once a week. For normal skin, masks containing egg yolk, honey, dairy products, any vegetable oils are useful. It should be remembered that honey is harmful for the skin with dilated blood vessels. Masks are selected taking into account the season: in spring and summer it is better if they are fruit or berry. To maximize the effect of the mask, you can make a steam bath or a compress (a tissue cloth folded several times, soak in warm water, squeeze it lightly and put it on the face for 1-2 minutes).
Masks at home
Once a week for normal skin it is recommended to make nutritious masks.
Cottage cheese mask: 1 tbsp. spoon of cottage cheese mixed with 1 tbsp., a spoonful of milk and add 1/2 tsp of cranberry juice.
Gelato mask: in a well-ground yolk add 10 drops of olive oil and 5 drops of lemon juice.
Honey mask: grind to a white color 1 teaspoon of honey, apply a mask on a cleanly washed face, and after 15-20 minutes wash first with warm, and then with cold boiled water.

Enemies of healthy skin
Inadequate sleep, poor nutrition, lack of oxygen, a sedentary lifestyle can negate all efforts to care for the skin. Avoid excessive consumption of caffeine, salt and sugar, but the negative effects of nicotine and alcohol on the skin and the whole body are known to everyone.
Normal skin does not need special protective measures, so fatty creams should be avoided even in winter: the pores of the skin from them are clogged, the activity of sweat and sebaceous glands is broken, the skin stops breathing. As a result, irritation may appear, the complexion becomes dull, the color disappears. To avoid this, you should use a non-fat day cream. If there are enlarged blood vessels on the skin of the face, then for winter protection use oil, for example olive oil. In the summer, use sunscreen.
Prevention of skin aging
