Nutritional supplements are by no means as useful as many think. Recently, US cancer scientists have discovered that taking certain vitamins (individually or in combination) increases the risk of cancer.
This conclusion was made on the basis of a long, twenty-year study of dietary supplements. It turned out that the cancer can provoke vitamin E, beta-carotene and folic acid. The same folic acid, which is recommended as a food supplement for all women planning pregnancy and bearing a child. Studies conducted in 2006 confirm that the consumption of folic acid in large quantities by almost 20% increased the risk of developing breast cancer. And for men, the food supplement with vitamin E turned out to be the most dangerous. They caused an increase in the risk of oncology by about the same number of percentages as in women.
Doctors are concerned, as vitamin supplements are advertised as something that is mandatory for consumption. They are trying to replace the natural vitamins, which the body receives with food. But it turns out, only harm to health. From this it follows that it is not necessary to take vitamin supplements without the advice of a doctor, and even more so, for a long time.
