In the cold, the sebaceous glands work much worse, and with the type of skin there are interesting metamorphoses - it seems to rise one "step" upward. That is, if in the spring, summer and autumn you have oily skin, then in winter it can become normal. If the skin is usually normal, then in winter it can be safely attributed to the dry type. Well, if the skin is dry in summer, then in winter it becomes sensitive.

But during pregnancy and during breastfeeding, the skin of the face and body "jumps" through all the steps at once and becomes hypersensitive - this is due to fluctuations in the hormonal background. It reacts instantly to any external influences, and in winter there is no shortage of them. That only there is a sharp temperature drop! After all, sometimes, going out into the street, you have to quickly adapt to the difference of 30-40 ° C. It is not surprising that under such conditions, most women "in position" complain of dryness and peeling of the skin. . Therefore, skin care in winter during pregnancy needs a special one.

Dehydration of the skin in each future mother passes in different ways. Even small cracks and itching may appear. If you do not take measures in time, this condition can lead to dermatosis: the skin will turn red and inflame. In addition, most of the time we spend in rooms with dry air, which inevitably leads to dehydration of the skin. Therefore, it is very important to take care of the skin in winter in a special mode: use nutrients and moisturizers suitable for sensitive skin.

By the way, there is still a common misconception that moisturizers can not be used in cold weather, because the water allegedly freezes, crystallizes and can damage the skin. Of course, it will be so, if you just wash and go out. But moisturizers for the skin act on a different principle. Their task is to restore and strengthen the lipid barrier. These are special structures in the uppermost layer of the skin, which serve as the main barrier to the evaporating liquid, which means they prevent dehydration. They consist of lipid layers that are tightly "sewn" to each other and to the surrounding horny scales. So, the moisturizing effect of creams is achieved due to the internal accumulation of moisture and its conservation. In addition, the skin in the skin is in a connected form, and it simply can not "freeze". Of course, it is still important to follow the golden winter rule: any tool should be applied at least half an hour before going out, or better - in an hour, so that it can absorb and start working.

Naturally, before applying any means, the skin needs to be cleaned. To do this, use the most gentle means - milk or cleaning emulsion. If you can not do without washing with water - make sure that it is warm, but in no case hot. And best of all, take as a rule to brew herbs and wash with this infusion. There is a compromise: first apply the tampon milk and thoroughly wipe your face. Then rinse the remnants of the product with mineral water and wipe with lotion. 

In the cold, the skin renewal process slows down to activate it, once a week, use a scrub. In addition, it will help to cope with peeling. Make sure that the particles contained in the scrub are not too large, otherwise you can injure the skin.

Tonification

The next important point is toning. Tonics prepare the skin for the perception of the cream, improve the condition of blood vessels, stimulate metabolic processes. But it happens that during pregnancy the skin reacts to toning not in the best way (tonics contain active substances that can provoke the appearance of irritation on the sensitive skin), so you need to navigate the situation. 

Humidification

Next comes the turn of humidification, of which we have already spoken above. The delicate skin during pregnancy is better moistened with natural remedies, because even on the usual "chemical" cream the body can respond unexpectedly, for example, irritation or a rash. However, an allergic reaction may occur in response to the use of an organic agent. Therefore, you need to be careful: first apply the cream on a small area of ​​the skin and monitor the reaction. 

Food

No less important than moisturizing, nourishing the skin. In winter, nutritious creams with a dense texture are simply irreplaceable. They can be applied at night, as well as before a walk. Use creams that include nutritious oils of karite, cocoa, coconut or jojoba. Karite oil, like cocoa butter, contains linoleic acid, which can strengthen the vascular walls and increase the tone of the subcutaneous tissue. The composition of cocoa butter includes a useful vitamin E. Coconut oil is saturated with acids and is able to rid the skin of peeling, irritation and redness. Jojoba oil has a special property to create the finest film, like wax, which protects the skin and compensates for the lack of fat. Creams containing these oils have a denser, oily texture, so they should be applied in a thin layer. By the way, the nourishing cream can also be used as a mask - just apply it with a thicker layer and after a while remove the napkin that is not absorbed.

Body care in winter

In pregnant and lactating women, the body is dehydrated even more than the face. In winter, you just need to care for the skin of the whole body. Use nutritious creams and balms - they will cope with dryness and peeling, unlike light moisturizing lotions and sprays. What is especially pleasant, modern saturated products have such formulas, due to which they are quickly absorbed and, contrary to expectations, do not leave a fat film on the skin. 

Once a week, you need to carefully exfoliate the dead cells with a scrub. This is necessary to renew the skin - removing them, we help the young, moisture-saturated cells "come to the fore." 

Another of the frequent troubles during pregnancy is stretch marks (or striae). And this happens not only because the skin is stretched, but because of the disruption of its structure caused by hormonal fluctuations. In addition, due to dry skin, which occurs in the winter, the likelihood of stretch marks increases. The most "favorite" stretch marks are the abdomen, hips, chest, the area under the knees. To prevent their appearance, special attention should be given to the elasticity of the skin. To increase it, you need to moisten the problem areas in advance, when the gestation period is still small and the stomach, chest and hips have not increased. It is necessary to apply oil and creams on the body, starting from the 12th week 2 times a day. Choose creams containing algae, vitamins and antioxidants - substances that nourish the skin and smooth out its relief. The assortment of creams against stretch marks for expectant mothers is very large, in their composition often also include natural oils. Excellent nutritional properties are almond oil, wheat germ oil and grape seeds. 

By the way, often expectant mothers are concerned about the itching of the abdominal skin, this is due to the fact that it is actively growing. To alleviate this unpleasant condition will help all the same remedy for stretch marks. It is best to use oil, as it increases the elasticity of the skin.

Do not neglect and massage. It is also recommended to be carried out during pregnancy, but only under a special program. Traditional massage practices in this period are not suitable. Massage for women in the position differs from the classic in that it uses mostly stroking, relaxing techniques that allow you to work out the disturbing zone without vigorous rubbing. Correctly done massage helps to improve well-being and mood. The use of natural oils increases the elasticity of the walls of blood vessels and the elasticity of the skin. There are other salon procedures for the body, which are allowed to pregnant women, of course, they are carried out with the permission of a gynecologist. As a rule, they are aimed at general relaxation, nutrition and hydration of the skin. 

In the cold season, the skin on the legs becomes drier (this is especially noticeable in the region of the shins). For her moisturizing, you can use a hypoallergenic baby cream and oil that do not contain harmful additives. In addition, the foot of the pregnant woman has a special load and thus worsens blood circulation, often the legs "spend" the whole day in winter shoes. All this can cause problems with the nails - they thicken, but at the same time become more brittle. 

There may also be painful cracks on the heels and even a foot fungus, which is normally present in small amounts on our skin. In favorable conditions (warm and humid - for example, when the feet are in the room for a long time in the winter shoes and sweat), it begins to multiply, causing fungal damage to the skin. To prevent this from happening, do a pedicure on a regular basis, in winter it is no less necessary than in the summer. When you come to work, be sure to change shoes.

Of course, skin care in winter requires a special approach, but, having given a little more time to yourself, it is possible to avoid problems and still remain beautiful and attractive.
